COTTON FARMING

 

We source our cotton from Pratima Organics, an organization that is devoted towards the empowerment of under-privileged farmers. Based in South Western Odisha, they work with repressed farming communities to improve their livelihoods by increasing efficiencies, lowering costs and raising incomes through certification that ensures standard quality products. They believe in unshackling farmers through ownership and training. Since the inception of Pratima Organics, 3679 farmers have transitioned into sustainable agriculture certified for organic and fair-trade standards covering 4579 hectares.

They fortify economic sustainability through production of organic cotton and rotational crops and social sustainability through improved business performance, increased employment and better health.
